The DPXsu is part of the DistancePlus-Family and serves to increase the range of digital subscriber lines. This allows the extension of ISDN S0-interfaces via a 2-wire line. The possible distances depend mainly on the used cables and diameter.
To achieve the longer distances, the S0-interface is converted into an Uk0-interface, which offers longer on less cable. In this way distances can be bridged up to 6km on a 0.4 mm diameter twisted pair.
On the remote end, the DPXsu does support any kind of ISDN-NT, with or without remote feeding requirement.
The DPXsu is available in a single and a double port variant.
Two different cases are available for the installation of DPXsu. The TG-1 is a robust desktop housing made of metal, which is also suitable for wall mounting.
For applications requiring higher density, the 19"-chassis 19R3 can be used. This chassis is made to house three members of the DPX-family. Thus, parallel operation can be realized in one housing.
